A busy week for a busy man. That's what all my secondary school friends call me now. I don't blame them. I rarely call for updates, and when they did manage to get hold of me, I'll be doing something important, or the call will be interrupted a couple of times by my second line. Swell.
One of them told me to get a life.
This IS my life, I thought. I mean, considering what I have done and achieved so far, I'd say I'm pretty proud of myself. Although I could use some time off to spend with my friends. I rarely go out nowadays, even if I do, it's only to school. Yeah, I know what some of you are thinking...
Either this guy is hardworking, or he is just relax-o-phobia... I don't deny that I do relax sometimes, but, on rare cases.
Ever since my dad came back from Belgium, something's been different about him. He's not really that fierce, and even offered to buy an LCD monitor for me. I told him not to worry. I have my budget planned on another server, LCD monitor, wireless router, another digital camera, and a Pocket PC, all using my own cash of $200 monthly. Imagine surviving a month on $200 only. Minus off my phone bills ($70, I have 2 phones), transportation ($50), I'll only have $80 buck to play around with. And I'm not even planning on working this holidays.
This week's been pretty dull, entering freshie's particulars into a database system which I designed specially for my Malay club. Not that I get paid for it. I like doing technical stuff. Give me an essay to write, I'll give all kinds of excuses. Give me 5 different database systems to design, I'll finish 'em in 3 days. Period. The commitee had a meeting just now, and I came back pretty late, around 11PM. That's late for me, considering I usually try to get back home by 7PM.
Over the week, on Wednesday, there was an Excellence Awards ceremony in SP. I was a recipient for Excellence Service: Campus Vibrancy. I didn't know I brought life to the campus! Got a super big crystal trophy, and a certificate. I was nominated by my club, which I didn't know about until the VPs came to me and ask me to submit the form. But it's a great achievement for me in poly life. Only 2 years in poly, raked up 125 CCA points, excellence award, important position in my club, personally know my school director (we talked like old friends) and had a testimonial from one of my lecturers. Of course most people I know don't really know aabout all these stuffs, I don't really wanna tell anyway. They're not important.
Another upcoming busy week. I'll be going on a roadtrip around Singapore to collect important documents from freshies needed for the camp. I'll be super busy again. I wonder if I really don't have a life.
Hmmm. Nah.
This IS my life.
And I'm loving it.
Of course there is just one thing missing.
Oh what irony.
