[Mood: Great] [Mentally: Okay] [Physically: Okay] [State of Mind: Clear]
Today, my FYP group had a video conference with our supervisor in Japan, Mr Sugimoto. After discussing what we need to, he told us he will be flying over to London for a BioInformatics Conference, and he won't be back until next week. But imagine our surprise when he told us that he will be having a transit (stopover) on Wednesday in Singapore! We were like, "Wow! We're gonna meet him!" With our lecturer giving us a $100 budget, we have to treat Mr Sugimoto like a king, as followed in Japanese tradition, for he is the visitor, and us, the hosts. Well, $100 isn't that much to begin with, but it's worth a try. We spent a couple of hours planning out the 6 hours he will be Singapore, and how to spend it fruitfully.
Other than that surprise, I went for a NYAA (National Youth Achievement Award) briefing later that evening. It explains how the award can increase the person's market value. I'm interested to take it up. I mean, with PPRD (Product & Process Research & Development) certificate and an Excellence Service Award under my belt, this NYAA will even boost my credentials. Anyway, there's no harm trying it out.
The first day of the week had passed with no problems. I hope it'll stay the same for the rest of the week.
No wait. It'll be boring then.
Lolz.
