[Mood: Great] [Mentally: Fine] [Physically: Very Tired] [State of Mind: Clear]
Today didn't go as planned. Oh wait. It wasn't planned at all. Lolz...
Went to school with my friend at 10AM as Yat and Farhana were there to occupy the SAA Audition room. So we went there to sccompany them. I heard they reached there since 8:30AM, so when we arrived, we asked them to take their breakfast. And when they're done, we took ours. My friend wanted to eat Mc Donalds, so we walked all the way to FC2, just to realize that it was closed. Tough luck. Ended up eating at KFC.
Once back at the Audition room, my friend wanted a table to study on. Now, the place has no tables, but it has this small storeroom which was very dusty, but there was a foldable table in it. I took it out, set it up, and we went to wash our hands. When we returned, just approaching the table, a big fat house lizard dropped from below the table and onto the floor, and scuttered to the curtains. My friend shouted, of course. I was just stunned. Minutes ago, I was carrying that table. If it had shown itself at that time, I would be the one screaming my head off.
We dismissed it as a small matter and continued with our revision. Then Yat and me went out to buy whipped potato from KFC, leaving the 2 ladies alone. Upon our return, we saw them looking among the curtains. They said the big fat house lizard was on the loose, and they were practically running around the place. They weren't kidding. We found it dangling on the curtain, and Yat tried a lot of ways to bring it down. He even managed to get a couple of good hits on that thing using a very thick cloth. Even though there were only 4 of us in the room, it sounded like 20. In the end, Yat tok a large piece of paper from the storeroom, smaked the lizard onto it, and dragged it into the storeroom while I held the door open. Just as I opened the door and went behind it, another big fat house lizard, not as big, but enough to scare me, climbed up the wall. Some more screaming and shrieking, and when the door of the storeroom was closed, so was the whole commotion. Really got us tired out, and finally we settled into our whipped potatoes.
Haddad, Haslina, Zaki and Nadzirah came by a few minutes later to pass me the videocam. I'll be doing the editing of the Iftar's video. I think it was around 2PM that we finally left the room, Yat and Farhana returning the key, me and my friend towards T14 for Zohor. We met Azfar and Linda (Linda right?) along the way, and I was told of a meet-up with a proposed caterer of PHR at 5:30PM at Causeway Point. After Zohor, time-check, 3PM. We had plans to go for a movie, but scrapped that. I don't even know how a few minutes later, we eneded up window shopping at Jurong Point. Lolz...
Rounded the whole place, and sat at Boon Lay MRT for a while. Then my friend got a call from here mum to get groceries. I had some time to kill, so I followed her to Lot 1. We had to wait a long time for the apple pies which she ordered, but I managed to rush to Causeway Point after that and reached there at 5:40PM. Met Ali and Kasma, but no Azfar. He came a few minutes later. And we were told by the caterer's friend (who incidentally is Ali's auntie) that he could not make it, and to postponed it to another day. Azfar chose Tuesday, as we would be having soccer on Monday. I had to rush home shortly after that as I had aMajlis Tahlil and Arwah for the upcoming Ramadhan.
It was held at the void deck of 658, and when my dad and I reached there at 7:45PM, the place wasn't even ready yet. With the help of 2 other teens, we set the place up. And I helped mainly with logistics. The problem with this event is that it's lacking of volunteers. And I mean young ones, like my age. The group around here, Qaryah 25, is an Islamic neighbourhood group which holds such events, and also Tarawih during Ramadhan. But not many people came down to help with the setting up of tikars and such before the break fast time. The only teenagers who had helped for the past 3 years were me and some guys younger than me. It's not that the area here is lacking of people of my age. There are a lot. It's just that they are mainly ITE students, or students with that kind of lazy attitude. Before Tarawih, they come, pray 2 raka'at, then went off to smoke or whatever shit that they do. At then end, they come back, not to help with the cleaning up, but to quench their thirst only. It is really stupid, from my point of view. Did complain to my dad a couple of times, but he didn't say much as those guys are the kids of the people my dad are friends with. So what can I do?
And that is why I never mix with the people around this area. I know their attitude, I know what they do. They are the ones I saw while on my way home, lazing at void decks and making a lot of noise. But then again, I guess these kind of people have to exist to make the world a balanced society. Hah.
[P.S: What I had wrote was not aimed at ITE students. I have friends in ITEs who are very good in both studies and attitude. This post is aimed to those guys living around my area. If you are one of those guys, well, tough luck. If you're not happy with my post, I'll be glad to see you anytime, anywhere at my void deck. What I say is based on what I see, know and hear. Mind you, I hear these from other adults themselves. If you think what I post about you guys are wrong, feel free to tell me. (Not that I'm expecting anyone to complain.)]
Ok, my anger has been released. I am now officially a cheerful guy again. =D
