[Mood: Okay] [Mentally: Filled] [Physically: Fine] [State of Mind: Thinking]
Finally, my online order of meat has arrived. They called Gabor around 11am to say that they will arrived between 12pm and 2pm. I e-mailed the main office to tell them to call me on my office phone if it arrived. At 2pm sharp, the office called me.
Me: "Moshi moshi."
Voice: "Moshi moshi. I am looking for Nurazhar-san."
It was Wada-san on the other side. He was one of the few people at the main office who knows english.
Me: "Yes, Nurazhar-san here. Has the package arrived?"
Wada-san: "Yes yes. You can collect it now."
In a flash, I was downstairs looking at a brown box. I looked around, but couldn't find the guy to pay to. So I asked Wada-san, because I was afraid the university paid for it. He was like, "No, the delivery guy didn't ask for payment."
That's funny, I thought.
I did put Cash On Delivery at the order form, didn't I? After thanking the clerk, I phoned the company to confirm my suspicion. And I was right. They expected me to pay via credit. How the hell am I gonna get a credit account in Japan? So I talked my way out of the situation, and told them I can't pay by credit. In the end, we struck a deal. In my next order, I will indicate Cash On Delivery, and they will bill me the amount of this order and the next. Sounds good to me.
I had a glance at the invoice. The freaking box cost me 1000 yen! That's like S$16! Maybe to have my money's worth, I'll order a bit more. This was just to test the service anyway.
I had my first taste of proper meat in 11 days. And it felt good. I'm pumped up and ready to code. For those of you who wants to know how my workspace looks like, below are some pictures.
My workspace (full view), my multimedia station (laptop), and my food area (chocolates, bread, jam).
I guess I better sleep now. Already 3am (Jap time) and I have to wake up at 6am tomorrow. Better take care of my health or I'm gonna fall sick. Because you see, if you
fall sick, you
have to
see a doctor. Yeah. It is a
must.
