[Mood: Fine] [Mentally: A Bit Stressed] [Physically: Fine] [State of Mind: Nervous]
Nurhayat's AGM on Saturday went fine, alhamdulillah. The first screw-up by me was forgetting that formal wear was needed for it. I woke up a bit late, and was in a rush for the Presidential interview, so I forgot about it. Unfortunately, one of the candidates was late too, waste my energy only waking up so early. Lolz. My dad sent my formal wear to me (he was on his way to work), then he reminded me about shoes. SHOES! I forgot about them too! Only had my red street soccer shoes on! I left it as a problem for later. The meeting ended late due to it starting late, and some of us went to Jurong Point after that to eat at Banquet. Rushed back in time for me to slip into my formal wear (thanks to Ali for lending me his black shoes), and meet with Haddad and Fariz Husna (GOH) at Dover. I was to accompany them to the AGM location.
I was surprised to learn they didn't know where it would be held. So I didn't tell them. I brought them through the 'Caterpillar' (yellow walkway tubes) and confident of where I was going, went into the elevator to go to the 7th floor. I remembered the location being T1A71. To my horror, I saw only maximum 4 floors of buttons! I panicked, and i tried to think where I was wrong. Then I realized we were at T1, not T1A. Upsetting. And we entered dramatically, 30 minutes late. Mainly because I got us lost (for a while), and they were taking their own sweet time to walk. Lolz.
The AGM went on smoothly, and soon (VERY soon), it was time for refreshments. My Exco had a short meeting before I went home, tired from the day's events.
Sunday, there was a Maulid at Masjid An-nur. Left the house at 7.30AM to attend it. It was scheduled to end by 12PM, but because one of the Ustazs (speakers) took almost an hour for his syarahan (speech) (there were 4 of them), it ended at 1.15PM instead. I had to rush home because there was going to be a Kompang performance at SPGG, and rehearsal was at 5PM. Reached a bit late, but enough time to teach the new guy, Ahmad, how to play the Kompang. The performance was one of the best, and it was quite a fun thing with the audience interaction. I'm glad to finish up my Kompang career with a bang... Lolz.
Today, I stated work late, so dropped by school to put the Kompang back. I visited my old FYP lab (T2025) with Yaomin, and we had a chat with the Com Tech. After that, I had lunch before going for work. Same old, same old, work. Lolz. Ended at 6.15PM, and I was on my way home (taking the train to Marina Bay to get a seat all the way to Admiralty) when I received a call from Zaf (my secretary) regarding Exco selection. After hanging up the phone, I was arriving at Raffles Place. Several things happened over the next few seconds. Glanced at my watch. 6.40PM. Estimated how long it takes to go to school. 20 mins. Did a quick deduction. Final result: I've got time. Decided to drop by the meeting, if it hadn't ended yet. I quickly alight from the train and transfer.
Just as I arrived there, the meeting ended. Upsetting. But I had my updates, and that's good enough. Huda got me through the program for AGM, and when she said "Then it will be your speech...", I was thinking,
My speech? My speech?? MY SPEECH!!! Yes. I forgot about my speech. Not yet prepared. And I have less than 48 hours to come up with a full Malay, outgoing Presidential speech. I am so screwed.
I think... I think... I need to sleep on it.
