[Mood: Fine] [Mentally: Lots of Thinking] [Physically: Okay] [State of Mind: Worried]
The day didn't start off as I would have liked, but then again, I didn't have control over it happening. It disturbed me a bit throughout the day.
Today, Rozianah (also known as "Oji") started working at where I'm working. Yesterday, my supervisor told me she needed 3 more people to help out during the next few months. The first person I thought of was Rozi, mainly because I remembered she was jobless during the last time we chatted. I think it was an eye-opener for her today, but she did quite fine. Talking about job openings, if any one of you guys reading this is out of school, and looking for a part-time job, I have 2 more openings where I'm working at. The pay is $7 an hour. If you are interested, sms me at 91384481 and I'll reveal more details. Offer is only until this Sunday (17th July), and may or may not be extended, depending on my supervisor.
I had a bit of joy in my day juz now while using my desktop. Over the past few days, with the extra monitor in hand, I tried to do dual-monitors on my system. I don't have an onboard graphics card, but my GeForce4 TI can support both DVI and analog inputs. Since my 17" LCD is connected via DVI, I have an extra analog slot for the other monitor. I plugged it in last week, but it didn't work. It was only when I restarted my PC (yes, I still left it switched on 24/7) juz now, and when it booted up, VIOLA! Dual-monitors on a system! Now I can split my games and work on different monitors. The best part is that it doesn't even lag at all.
I take comfort in knowing that my desktop, which I painstakingly list out the specifications over a week, and finding the appropriate hardware, is still very lasting, even after over 2 years. The motherboard (
GA-8IK1100) is very expandable (I still have yet to use SATA, several PCI slots, Dual Power System and the HT capability), and the only latest addition to the CPU was the DVD-writer. The decision to buy 1GB of DDR-RAM that year was a huge pay off. With a total price of $1400 (at that time), it was a super bargain. I think during my next upgrade, it will only be the processor (currently 2.66GHz), hard disk drive (currently 160GB) and graphics card (currently 128MB). Heck, if I still have some spare cash, I might even upgrade my RAM to 2GB! Of course, these upgrades aren't necessary for the time being. If it ain't broke (or outdated), don't fix it (or upgrade).
I have named the music player as the "Blog Audio Mood", a.k.a. BAM. Lolz. BAM will play songs according to my mood for the day, maybe even the week. It is by no means accurate to my mood at that moment, but it will be close. Kicking it off with "Incomplete", which is my mood at the moment.
I hope it won't stay for more than a week.
