[Mood: Fine] [Mentally: Okay] [Physically: In Pain] [State of Mind: Sick]
After nearly 6 months of no soccer, I was pulled into action on Friday morning. A friendly, I was told. After moch to and fro, it was held in school. The match started pretty well, with the defence line holding up nicely by Mr El-Presidente, Yat. He cleared every ball that comes my way, and I mean EVERY ball. Even the ones I can catch. I think he got nervous after I told him not to give any backpasses to me. Lolz.
I managed to get myself into the game with a couple of simple saves, but really, there was no difficulty until we were 2-0 up. Then the opponent started attacking like mad. Shots rained my goalmouth, either blocked by the Crazy Yat, or went wide. I had to pull off a quick save near the post after a bit of miscommunication. It was going well, until one of the opponents got the ball and shot into the top corner of the goal. I stretched, but missed it by a few centimetres. That really shoke me up. And contirbuted to my mistake to the second goal, where I dived too late and the ball went under me. What a way to mark a comeback. Swell. I am still having a sore body from that until now, due to the lack of warm up before the match. Maybe I'll do better next Friday?
Later that night, I went out with a couple of friends from my BioInformatics class. After much thinking, we went to have dinner at Sofra, a Turkish restaurant at Shaw Towers. A really nice restaurant with nice food, and I'll definitely go there again. Here's a preview of one of the dish, called The Chef's Special, or something like that. Other photos in my Blog Visuals.
Eventually went home at 12AM after hanging around at Esplanade. Lolz.
Nothing much happened on Saturday. Only went to my grandmother's place. I got a couple of classic games from my uncle. One of them is PopCap's Insaniquarium. Addicted to it.
Maybe when I get addicted to the other games, I'll post their screenshots too.
Yesterday was quite a day eating. My family had some kind of gathering for the relatives on my dad's side. Everyone came down to eat. My dad used the steamboat device we have to good use. Of course, the talking point is my niece, who I think is 8 or 9 months old. Since she grew up while I was in Japan, I didn't really recognize her at first, and she didn't particularly warm up to me. Ha ha. Poor thing. Luckily I love kids, otherwise she'll be in my bad book. Lolz.
Today was a whole day out, back to back movies, for the 2nd time this month. The Maid, followed by The Adventures of Shark Boy & Lava Girl In 3D. The Maid is quite a good show, and scary too. But not up to par with The Amityville Horror. There is a twist in the plot, even I missed it at first. As for Shark Boy & Lava Girl, well, other than the dizziness of having to wear the 3D glasses, it was quite a story. Though very, very, VERY fake. A good story only if you have a mind of a child, which I have to say, doesn't hurt sometimes.
Tomorrow's gonna be a very cold day for me. Curious to know why? Stay tuned for the next entry. Lolz.
