[Mood: Fine] [Mentally: Okay] [Physically: Recovering] [State of Mind: Fine]
Went out just now to watch "The Brothers Grimm". A collection of fairy tales, rolled into 1. Lolz.
What 2 weeks at BMTC. Tough? Yes. Fun? I would say, quite a bit. I didn't see it as easy going, even though it is known that I am in S Company (Scorpion), which is coincidentally a welfare company, meaning their recruits are well treated. We can fall out of training anytime we want, if we dun feel that well. Lolz.
It started off like any other NS... Everyone in the same platoon trying to bond with each other. I am in Platoon 4, and just my luck, my bunk is on the 5th floor. Imagine going up and down the stairs everyday. Very fit. It didn't take long for the guys in my section to bond, and very soon, my chocolate rations are finished.
Some of the memorable times were when my platoon marched back to company line after dinner in front of Whiskey Platoon 4. Both platoons were singing their respective victory songs as loud as possible. Even when we reached our respective bunks, our buildings were opposite of each other, and we taunted each other with songs from the 5th floor. It was very soon cut off by a sergeant who went in the middle of the 2 buildings and scolded us. Lolz.
Another time was when the whole Viper company marched past our company line while my platoon was doing PT. Imagine one platoon up against one company. Incredible sight. most of us make up for the loss of numbers by dancing and wiggling our behinds at them while they marched past. My Platoon Commander (who is a lady) just kept quiet and smiled. Hell yeah, Platoon 4 is bonding quite well.
At last, the book out day arrived. At the last count, the number of status people (excused from PT) can make a whole new platoon. Most of them with lower limb injuries. But it was quite amusing to see these people being one of the first to run to the bus which would take us to Pasir Ris Interchange.
I'll update more when I have time. I gotta figure out a way to fit 10 instant noodles, 2 boxes of biscuits, and a packet of sweets into my field pack. Gonna leave you guys with some army cheers. (I am the impromptu Song IC)
Purple Light
Purple light,
In the valley.
That is where,

Doing PT.
With my rifle and my buddy and me.

See my girlfriend.

Another man.
Kill my girlfriend!
Screw the man!
With my rifle and my buddy and me.

Back to study.
Got degree,
So happy.
Can't forget,
This is Army.
With my rifle and my buddy and me.
Purple heart,
At the warfront.
That is where,
My buddy died.
If I die,
Would you bear with me?
With my rifle and my buddy and me.

Down by the river,
Took a little walk,
Ran into some terrorists,
Had a little talk.
Then I punched them,
HIAK!
And I kicked them,
HIAK!
Punched them, kicked them,
HIAK! HIAK!
Into the river,
Left them to drown,
We don't need no terrorists,
Hanging around.
Hey, don't be a fool,
Somebody said we were Number 2,
PUI!
We are Number 1...
Socrpion!
