[Mood: Great] [Mentally: Fine] [Physically: Okay] [State of Mind: Normal]
It has been some 2006. I have not been staying in camp since 23rd January. No, I'm not going AWOL. Lolz. I came down with high fever on 20th Jan, and being a stubborn person I am, I didn't want to drop out of training. But my sergeant forced me out (my temperature was 39.1), and I went to the medical centre, and got Atten C (meaning can go home) for 3 days. So I booked out, and booked in together with the guys on Sunday night. Unfortunately my fever returned, and I went to the medical centre at 11PM, and managed to get a stay in the sickbay overnight. On top of that, they put me on drips. The next day, they waited one whole day before they released me in the late evening, giving me another 3 days Atten C.
It was obvious they didn't know what was wrong with me, so I took the liberty to go to the polyclinic the following day for a blood test. And the doctor found out my platelet level was low, which means a virul infection (though not necessarily Dengue). I went back for another blood test the following day, and the platelet level was decreasing, so she gave me another 2 days MC (altogether adding to 8 days of medical leave). But another blood test on Friday showed me recovering, and by then I was feeling faint due to the many blood tests. After the 2 days MC, came the Chinese New Year Holidays, so I'm only booking into camp tomorrow. How many days of leave is that already? Almost 2 weeks. Lolz. There was already a possibility of me getting out of course.
I found out something about myself recently, which until now, I didn't realize. I was walking back home one day (and I usually walk fast, looking down) when I was abruptly pushed by someone from the neighbourhood. Apparently the person saw me from far away, whereas I barely put any effort in recognizing anyone around me. The person knocked me off balance, but I regained it, turned around, and gave him my normal two-finger salute.
Now, what is that two-finger salute? I'm sure most of you who know me, have seen me doing it often, but it made me wonder when I started it. I think it was in secondary school? But it has become an integral part of me... Lolz. Some things, you'll never know you are doing it until you actually look back.
I forgot to mention I passed my IPPT and SOC. A silver for IPPT, and 10:18 for SOC. I wonder if Haddad did better than me for SOC? Lolz. I'm sure he did, or he WILL. Saw him at Jurong Point a couple of days ago, with someone... =x Anyway, it is nice to see my taggie active when I'm not. Hafriz: My movies record is based on paid movies in cinemas. Lolz. And who is yana? I think I'm a bit outdated. To !!!: I'm not in Tekong, I'm in SISPEC at Pasir Laba.
Right, I think I better go do something useful now... Been bored not doing much these past 2 weeks. Until the next time I update.
