[Mood: Great] [Mentally: Good] [Physically: Tired] [State of Mind: Clear]
Well, well... Look who cannot control his words in my tagboard... Lolz. What has the Army done to you, Hafriz?
I didn't WAP Blog much this week because something was wrong with my mobile browser. Can't seem to connect. But I have fixed that already.
A few things happened this week. Monday, ATP shoot. There are 28 shots, 16 in the day, 12 in the night. 17 shots to pass, 24 shots for marksmanship. I decided to wear contact lenses because I didn't want to screw it up. And it worked well in the day. 13/16. But in the night, somehow, it didn't go my way. 4/12. Total: 17/28. I just passed! In the whole company, only 42 people passed the ATP shoot, and as of that time, one step away from CSB badge.
Tuesday, IPPT re-chin-up. I did 7! I passed! Another obstacle down. Then there was 32km in the evening at Tekong. I changed my attire tactics a bit to prevent groin abrasion. And it worked. Anyone wants to know how, sms me. Anyway, at the 20km mark, there was river crossing. The at the end of the march, we were given 10 rounds each to hit a 100m target. 6 shots to pass. I got 6. I passed again! Lolz... The CSB badge, is finally on my chest.
Wednesday and Thursday were resting days, then Friday, we had heli practice and Grandslam 2. Heli practice was a bit boring, only a 5 minutes ride aboard the Chinook around Yishun. But the feeling when I saw the Chinook landing nearby was great! The downwash swept lots of sand particles in my way. As my stick (or detail) ran towards the Chinook to board, I (being the stick IC) reached first, stood at the entrance, and ushered them in. It felt like Black Hawk Down, with the downwash pushing me and all.
After the heli training, off we went to Marsiling, and start our Grandslam 2. I wasn't expecting to dig a shellscrape, so imagine my surprise when we were given 2hrs to dig one. In the dark. I tried my best, slept at 9pm, awoken to do sentry at 1:30am (fell asleep shortly after that while doing sentry), then woke up at 3am to cover our shellscrape and prepare for dawn attack. After dawn attack, we had 5 MTC (Movement To Contact) and a CASEVAC (something everyone hates, unless u are a medic, or the one being evacuated). We were done with Grandslam 2 by 11am yesterday. Bus cam at 2pm, we reached camp at 2:30pm. Everyone was eager to book out, but they kept us in and told us to clean our rifles until 6:30pm, then area inspection, THEN book out. By the time we booked out, it was 7pm.
The coming week is gonna be quite relaxed. Preparing our things for Taiwan this Sunday. And tomorrow, I had to book in at 10am (compared to others at 1pm) because I need to help out with Alpha company's 32km march in Tekong. So much for getting the CSB badge. Taiwan is gonna be tiring, but I'm looking forward to it.
And also looking forward to POP.
Hopefully.
