[Mood: Great] [Mentally: Fine] [Physically: Okay] [State of Mind: Ready]
A couple of months ago, my Company Sergeant Major (CSM) asked me while I was doing duty, "Azhar, career or family?" Without batting an eyelid, I replied, " Encik, the right answer is family, but the logical answer is career." He looked at me. "I like your answer." A few weeks later, I got to know that he rejected the opportunity to stay in Singapore and be groomed into a warrant officer, and instead decided to be posted to Brunei for 2 years and bring his family along to spend more time with them.
I admit it. I worry the time when I will ORD, wondering if I will get a job, how my life will be like then. I have seen and heard of other people who struggle to find their feet after NS. It is really difficult to say that family comes first then, wouldn't it? Because by then, as the eldest among the siblings, and in years to come, man of the house, the main priority is the earn money so that the family can live comfortably, if not, satisfactorily.
Maybe there is no wrong answer. Just maybe.
